The live body: ever-moving, sighing, breathing. An electric impulse from hand to eye, unseen.
In this guided life drawing session we explore ways of drawing the moving body, made possible by the wonderful model Charlie Cornforth.
With an emphasis on experimentation we will begin the session looking at the work of other artists who explore the body in motion. From there, we will test out different methods of mark making to capture movement, considering how the graphic mark, as an extension of the body, is influenced by movement, gesture and emotion, from standing to sitting and taking a different perspective.
The session is open to both experienced artists and beginners, with guided support on-hand throughout.
Sharing and discussion of the creative process is actively encouraged - expect a supportive art studio environment!
